Blogging on its way out?

Monday, March 23rd, 2009

While playing around with Wordpress and doing general house cleaning, I’ve found that out of my friends’ blogs, there are only a small handful that are still active.

Is it because it was a “fad” and that it’s no longer popular?

Did blogging get to a stage where everyone was just posting garbage and it was too much trouble to read them all?

Do people not have the time to write (at least) short paragraphs, and are resorting to updating their status on Facebook or Twitter?

Hats off to the few who have persevered, you deserve to be on my blogroll :)

Trigger happiness

Thursday, May 31st, 2007

This just goes to show how true the stereotype of Americans being too trigger happy is.

Some guy sees an unknown person in your basement at night. Instead of confirming their identity, he (a trained cop) decides to shoot first and ask questions later. Nice move!

Considering that they also invented the FPS genre of gaming, it’s hardly surprising.
